Shaw v Commissioner of Met. Police [1987] 1 WLR 1332

Facts: A car was obtained from the owner on the basis that the person obtaining it might have a client who might be willing to buy it. So, there was no fixed agreement with the second buyer.

Held: he was not a sub-buyer within the meaning of the s.25. The reason for this exception is to make the law about conditional sale agreements within the Consumer Credit Act and the same as for hire purchase agreements within the Act.
